Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?
Materialsoftheworld, the trade name of sole proprietor ScansMadeByThijs, registered under the Dutch Chamber of Commerce number 75471205, is responsible for the processing of your personal data.
What information is collected and processed by Materialsoftheworld?
When you use our website (www.Materialsoftheworld.com), purchase our products and services or when you contact us, we ask you to provide us with certain personal data, such as your (trade) name, address, e-mail and telephone number. To place orders with us, you must create an account and provide a username and password. When you make purchases via our websites, we ask you to fill in your payment details.
In order for our website to work optimally (for example, to display pages properly), we need certain information. We therefore also collect automatically generated information about your use of our website. The cookies we use:
- functional cookies to make the website function properly, for example to make purchases;
- analytical cookies to measure the quality and effectiveness of the website (Google Analytics). We have concluded a processor agreement with Google. The IP address is masked, ‘data sharing’ is turned off and we do not use any other Google service in combination with the cookies.
For what purposes does Materialsoftheworld use your personal data?
Materialsoftheworld uses your personal data – among others – for the following purposes:
a) to provide our products and services to you, make your account available and perform our agreement with you;
b) to answer your questions, to contact you regarding your order and to inform you about changes to our offer;
c) to be able to support you while using our websites, for example when you ask us a question via e-mail;
d) invoicing and enabling purchases/payments;

f) to adapt and improve our websites and offers.

Materialsoftheworld can provide your personal data to third parties when this is necessary for the provision of its services, for example for the processing of payments, hosting, management and maintenance of our systems, if you have given your explicit permission for this, for example in a model release. /quit claim agreement or insofar as this data cannot be traced back to you personally (such as automatically generated information). Materialsoftheworld has concluded a processing agreement with third parties that process personal data on its instructions to guarantee your privacy and to secure your data.
Materialsoftheworld may also provide your information to third parties as far as it is necessary to: comply with a government request, court order or applicable law; to prevent illegal use of our websites or violations of our Terms and Conditions and our policies and to defend ourselves against claims from third parties.
Materialsoftheworld does not store any personal data outside of Europe.
Retention of your personal data
In general, we will not keep your data for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which we collected it (unless applicable law prescribes a longer retention period).

If you have an account, you can view and change your own data. If you have given permission for the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw it, insofar as this does not conflict with other legislation, or does not unnecessarily violate the fundamental rights of Materialsoftheworld.
If you would like to request a copy of your personal data or exercise any of your other rights, please send us an email at the email address provided on the website. Materialsoftheworld will respond to your request within four (4) weeks. If Materialsoftheworld rejects your request, it will indicate in its reply why your request was rejected. If you have complaints about the handling of your personal data, you can contact the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).
These rights do not apply insofar as the exceptions of Article 85 of the Dutch AVG (GDPR) and Article 43 of the Implementation Act apply from the Dutch AVG (GDPR).
